My Summer Adventure at McDonalds

The author along with other kids who participated in McDonald's Kiddie Crew Workshop.

I have wanted to join the McDonalds' Kiddie Crew workshop for as long as I can remember. At that time, I was too young to join, I remember I was only about four years old. This summer, I really wanted to join after seeing some kids signed up. I was happy that finally my aunt and grandma gave me the go signal to join.

On my first day of Kiddie Crew, I was so excited. I'm a huge fan of McDonalds and I wanted to find out how the burgers and fried were done. When we were toured within the McDonalds facility, I realized that working for a fast food chain was not easy. You had to be quick in service while making sure to maintain the food's quality. And you have to make sure that the food is well-presented and clean.

What I liked best about the workshop was the art and crafts we did during our sessions. It was amazing. I  had colored a puzzle on my own and even had my own tumbler decorated. We sang and danced to the McDonald song and Kiddie Crew's official anthem.

The McDonalds Kiddie crew workshop only lasts for a week. So it was sad when we had to say goodbye to my batchmates, but we promised each other that we'd be seeing again next summer. We've waited for so long to have our McDonald's Grand Graduation day. It was held last May 28-29, 2011 at the World Trade Center.

I love the magical wizard's hat I made.

I can't take it off even after I went home.

I even kept the magical wizard's hat I made during the grand graduation. Even after I went home, I didn't want to take it off. I will always remember this summer. I had a grand time meeting new friends from my batchmates and knowing Ms. Mimi Logdat (McDonalds' Metrolane Kiddie Crew moderator) made my summer adventure extra special.

Welcome to my own page!

Blogging is something that my Aunt and grandma had been doing for the past few months. I've often accompanied them when they get invited to attend certain events and later on write about it. So I figured, even if I'm still a kid, why don't I make one for myself. It's going to be my page--i could write anything and everything I wanted to.

Welcome to my own blog! I hope I would get to write here more in the coming days.

God bless!
